Who we are: As Operating Department Practitioners (ODP’s) or Anaesthetic Nurses, we are responsible for the safety and welfare of our paediatric patients who are being administered anaesthetic or sedation ahead of and after life changing surgery.
Who we need: Dedicated professionals with an ability to build trust and rapport with our patients and families and to build relationships across the directorate and with multi-disciplinary teams.
Roles on offer: Band 5 Nurses and ODPs

Who we are: We are a team of nurses and ODPs, highly skilled in peri-operative practice. We ensure each member of our team is trained to work within a sterile environment under guidance outlined within the WHO Checklist to uphold the safety of the patient.
Who we need: Nurses and ODPs with scrupulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality peri-operative care to our paediatric patients.
Roles on offer: Band 5 & 6 Nurses/ODPs.

Who we are: The Recovery team are practitioners who are highly skilled in airway management and immediate post-operative care. Covering 8 separate recovery areas, recovery staff care for a wide range of patients from many different specialties. Our team gain anatomy and physiology experience whilst building networks with the wards across the hospital.
Who we need: ODPs and nurses with a passion for team working and a keen interest in building a breadth of knowledge across different paediatric specialities. In addition, we need candidates with focus on patients care and experience and the willingness to improve the service.

Who we are: Interventional Radiology uses cutting edge technology to perform image guided, minimally invasive surgery. GOSH has the largest paediatric Interventional Radiology unit in Europe and one of the largest paediatric units in the world with over 3,600 procedures that are performed each year performed each year in within our department as well as on the intensive care units and wards.
Who we need: Self-motivated individuals with an aptitude for precision in practice and multidisciplinary working.

Who we are: The Cardiac Catheter laboratory carries out many cardiac procedures including ASD/PDA closures, ICD implants, diagnostic catheters and combined MRI/angio cases in our modernised XMRI suite. In addition we provide continuing care to our heart and lung transplant patients.
Who we need: Confident and competent professionals with a desire to develop knowledge and expertise in the paediatric cardiac specialty within a state of the art clinical environment.
